Material Handler Intermediate
About the role
Processes a variety of transactions related to warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, issuing parts to jobs, physically moving parts, and inventory counts.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties: Receive incoming materials, supplies and equipment. Unload trucks, inspect material for damage or defects, uncrate and assemble materials if needed. Prepare crates and other items to be shipped. Efficiently and independently process shipping / receiving / inventory transactions in computer system with minimal errors. Operate material handling equipment including hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, delivery vehicle, etc. May respond to after hours requests regularly on an on call basis.
Non-Essential Duties: Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ability To Perform all assigned duties. Demonstrate skills required to obtain forklift operator certification. Maintain good housekeeping in assigned area. Comply with all applicable safety, environmental, and PPE policies and procedures. Effectively demonstrate time management and organizational skills needed to complete competing tasks and meet time sensitive deadlines. Read, write and speak English.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License and good driving record
- Forklift operator certification
- Typically at least 2 years related warehousing and inventory experience
- Experience with inventory management systems preferred, preferably with Oracle
Physical Demands
Must be fit for duty for the job tasks being performed. Constantly required to stand, display good manual dexterity and to reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to talk and hear. Frequently required to walk with good balance. Regularly required to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds and to push and pull up to 110 pounds. Occasionally required to stoop, twist, kneel, and squat. Occasionally required to crawl, climb in and around equipment, stairs and slanted ladders. Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
