Material Handler II - Parts Warehouse, M-F, 1st Shift

About the role

The Material Handler is responsible for supporting internal and external customers through accurate receiving, stocking, delivery, and shipment of materials. This role involves operating all material support equipment and performing material support functions (receiving, running lines, and shipping) in the assigned Operations facility.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently locate and pull materials/supplies as listed on production/sales orders and stock assigned production areas to maintain inventory levels for production.
• Accurately verify parts and quantities and complete Bills of Lading (BOLs) to receive and/or ship material.
• Operate all material handling equipment (e.g., Stand-up, Sit-down, Combi, Lancer, Tugger) at the assigned Operations facility.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures, rules, and proper 6S standards.
• Follow all safe procedures in the operation of material support equipment and in the assembling and testing of all models.
• Conduct receiving operations.
• Rectify inventory discrepancies, monitor KANBAN cards, and use ERP systems such as JDE (Dodge Center only).

Requirements

• One (1) year of applicable position experience or an evaluated equivalent.
• High School Diploma or GED (standout qualification).
• Ability to become forklift certified to operate a forklift/tugger safely and efficiently.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to an ever-changing environment and processes.
• Outstanding transaction discipline, including diligence with quantity accuracy and making effective changes within JDE (Dodge Center only).
• Effective in working cross-functionally with various internal customers.
• Two (2) or more years of applicable position experience (standout qualification).

Skills

• Read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Read, analyze, and interpret business manuals, technical procedures, and/or government regulations.
• Basic math and mental computation skills.
• Ability to work with minimal decision-making responsibility.
• Ability to follow instructions and handle routine tasks.

Physical Demands

• Frequent: Standing, walking/running, sitting, reaching, hearing, talking, visual, typing.
• Occasional: Climbing, driving, bending/kneeling, fine dexterity, manual dexterity, upper extremity repetitive motion.
• Lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling up to 25 lbs.

Pay

Pay Range: $20 - $25.48 per hour.
