Material Handler II - Manufacturing Fab Picker

About the role
This position will receive general instructions from a supervisor but will need to work independently each day. The role focuses on assisting in receiving, storing, and distributing materials, equipment, and products within the facility, with a greater emphasis on the manufacturing side of the plant.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other general-purpose vehicles while performing routine operator maintenance.
- Perform a wide variety of duties requiring specialized knowledge of warehouse plans, methods, procedures, and material handling techniques.
- Record all product movement on appropriate forms.
- Label skids for shipment, ensuring correct Lot Number and Shipment Destination.
- Remove stock from warehousing areas and properly arrange stock from production in the warehouse.
- Perform physical and systemic receiving functions.
- Ensure all work areas begin and end in a clean and orderly manner.
- Lift up to 50-100 pounds.
- Perform all other duties related to this department.
Skills & Qualifications
- Independently load and unload materials, check, assemble, and process documents, and route materials and equipment to correct locations or storage areas.
- Knowledge and use of automated equipment such as optical readers, scanners, and computer keyboards to receive and transmit "pick and stow" data into a central computer.
- Skilled in inventory data, accessing materials, and filling item requisitions.
- Experience in stacking, moving, and arranging items on pallets.
- Able to use pallet measuring gauges and automated devices to ensure proper height, weight, and other load and storage requirements are met.
- Ability to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch, talk, and hear.
- Self-motivated, assertive, and able to follow directions.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative and an overall team player.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
