Material Handler II - Manufacturing Fab Picker

About the role

HPAG has an opening for a Material Handler II in our Chandler, AZ facility—a brand-new, state-of-the-art, climate-controlled 160,000+ sq. ft. plant. This position focuses on receiving, storing, and distributing materials, equipment, and products, with a greater emphasis on supporting the manufacturing side of the plant. You’ll receive general instructions from a supervisor but will work independently each day.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other general-purpose vehicles; perform routine operator maintenance.
• Apply specialized knowledge of warehouse plans, methods, procedures, and material-handling techniques.
• Record all product movement on appropriate forms and label skids for shipment, verifying correct Lot Number and Shipment Destination.
• Remove stock from warehousing areas and properly arrange production stock in the warehouse.
• Perform physical and systemic receiving functions.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas at the start and end of each shift.
• Lift 50–100 pounds as required.
• Complete all other duties related to the department.

Skills & Qualifications

• Independently load and unload materials, check and assemble documents, and route materials to correct locations.
• Use automated equipment (optical readers, scanners, keyboards) to transmit “pick and stow” data into a central computer.
• Manage inventory data, access materials, and fill item requisitions.
• Stack, move, and arrange items on pallets; use pallet gauges and automated devices to meet height, weight, and storage requirements.
• Perform physical tasks: walk, sit, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear.
• Self-motivated, assertive, and able to follow directions.
• Multitask in a fast-paced environment while collaborating as a team player.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
