Duties/Responsibilities
- Performs general warehouse functions involved with shipping and receiving, delivery of raw materials and finished goods, which includes loading and unloading trucks, material movement transactions in SAP/Apriso.
- Operates material handling equipment (including forklift and slip sheet, yard truck and box truck).
- Drives company trucks, including box truck, yard truck and trailer between all plant buildings and warehouse.
- Aids operator in the loading of manually loaded and unloaded products.
- Prepares product for manual and/or automated processing.
- Backs trailers to loading docks. Opens and closes trailer/container doors. Loads sterilized product on trailers. Uses the load sheet. Performs the daily yard check. Places temporary or shipping seals on trailers.
- Works with management to identify and eliminate safety hazards.
- Keeps and accurately accounts for all goods taken from warehouse stock.
- Communicates and maintains a favorable relationship with fellow workers in own and other departments, leadership, vendors and freight companies, etc.
- Performs duties in a prompt and professional manner, assuring on-time deliveries of all materials.
- Assists with radiation emergencies when and if they occur.
- Follows precise written procedures.
- Provides training for new associates.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Team Leader and required to support the needs of the business.
- Attends training and meetings as required.
- Engages in general housekeeping and clean-up of work area / safety awareness.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent, required.
- Maintains regular, punctual attendance.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to obtain forklift operation certification within 3 months.
- Must be able to operate yard truck and box truck within a 3-month period.
- CDL preferred.
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent, required.
Skills and Abilities
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills (SAP, Excel, Word preferred).
Physical Demands
- PCP Level 3: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly.
Work Environment
- High speed manufacturing environment.
- No air-conditioning in parts of sterilization/warehouse area.
- May have intermittent exposure to chemicals.
- Intermittent exposure to dust, dirt, heat, fumes, noise, vibration and chemicals.
- Inside, noise is the major distraction.
- Safety glasses, safety toe shoes and high visibility vest must be worn when in the warehouse.
- Some physical exertion, including lifting, may be required.

- Associates Must obey all safety rules. Must follow all QSR (GMP) regulations. Must cooperate fully with the safety and environmental program.
