Material Handler I USA (A Crew/AM Shift)
About the role
Material Handler I is responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate handling of materials in the warehouse and/or shipping dock environment. This role involves receiving, storing, cycle counting, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the establishment. Material Handler I ensures that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and in good condition, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the supply chain. Engages in packaging, loading, unloading, storing, and transporting materials and products by performing the described duties. Ensures the correct Oracle transactions are performed for goods receipts and item issuances out of inventory. Reports to the Supervisor, Traffic/Material Handling. No travel requirements.
Responsibilities
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks in compliance with safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with company EH&S policies and procedures as well as local and federal regulations.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to designated production areas or outgoing shipments.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
- Participates in SWATs.
- Performs all shipping/receiving requirements, including product packaging and shipping as directed and in a safe manner.
- Follows the rules and regulations of C-TPAT.
