Material Handler I - Nights

Responsibilities

• Efficiently move and control all inventory items, including inbound/outbound freight activities.
• Properly issue, receive, label, load, unload, rack, and ship production work orders and freight shipments.
• Inspect materials for visible defects or damage and document findings.
• Audit materials against inventory in BAAN MRP system and report discrepancies.
• Operate RF scanners to record materials handling transactions.
• Use material handling equipment such as forklifts, power & manual hand jacks, and pallet wrappers safely and efficiently.
• Ensure proper distribution of weights for safe movement and storage of materials.
• Report and document inventory shortages promptly to facilitate on-time replenishment or notifications.
• Complete mandated forms accurately and legibly, including Material Transfer Sheets, Load Sheets, and BOL’s.
• Verify counts and remove all components & scrap at the end of each production run, ensuring accurate weighing and labeling.
• Return unused materials to stock for accurate inventory control.
• Pull Production WO Kits as assigned.
• Conduct routine cycle counting and participate in annual physical inventory activities as required.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and Logistics/Production department supervisors.
• Comply with GMP’s & SQF guidelines related to material handling and equipment usage.
• Follow environmental & safety policies and comply with US laws.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
