Material Handler I
About the role
We are seeking a Material Handler I to join our team. This role ensures the accurate and timely shipment of all customer and agent orders.
Primary Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Verify and pack all outbound LTL and truck load shipments for correct quantities and items
- Ensure the optimum loading of all outbound trailers for accuracy, integrity, load sequence, and maximized "cube" shipments
- Verify for proper loading to ensure safe transit of material to customers
- Help control flow of people, equipment, and product on dock as it pertains to completion of orders, receipt of incoming, and transfers within inter-plant
- Must be able to operate digital scales
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- One year of related experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to physically move around manufacturing floor
- Ability to read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses
Working Conditions
While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site in a Distribution Center facility. You will be required to work at the Company’s Franklin location in New Hampshire. Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.
