Material Handler I

About the role

Under direct supervision, this individual will physically stage materials, parts, and sub-assemblies for production. They will ensure production has the required components to maintain established workflow, locate materials, and expedite part shortages within the plant. They will communicate all parts issues to group leaders and supervisors.

• Physically stages materials, parts, and sub-assemblies for production

• Locates materials and expedites part shortages within the plant
• Communicates parts issues to group leaders and supervisors

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic understanding of transaction affect on inventory
• Correctly measures materials
• Basic reading, writing, and numerical ability
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record (may be required)
• Able to operate powered equipment such as forklift or hydraulic jack lift
• Effective verbal communication skills
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds

Pay

The starting pay range for this role and market is between $20.00/hour. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
