Material Handler I

About the role

Performs various functions including receiving, delivering materials to/from the production area, scrap material moves, and miscellaneous supply moves, using a forklift safely and efficiently.

Hours: Monday–Friday, 5:00 A.M. – 1:30 P.M.

Responsibilities

• Perform forklift inspections and report any issues.
• Transport raw materials and finished goods to designated areas.
• Knowledgeable of handling procedures for all materials to prevent accidents.
• Pull and stage material needed for production.
• Responsible for using a scanner and/or computer system.
• Responsible for quality control – no damage to raw material or product being transported.
• Follow all procedures including but not limited to work instructions, standard operating procedures, material specifications, and job safety analysis.

Requirements

• Forklift certification required (training provided).
• Previous experience on a forklift.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• High school diploma/GED preferred.

Pay

The target hourly range is $19.50 – $21.00, depending upon qualifications and experience. Starting pay may be above or below this range based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and training needs. In addition to hourly pay, the compensation package also includes eligibility for profit-sharing and monthly bonus opportunity.
