Material Handler I

About the role

The Role: Our site in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Material Handler to join our team. This position plays a vital role in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring accurate movement, storage, and documentation of materials throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials to the appropriate workstations
• Complete SAP (warehouse management system) transactions
• Complete specified function of 6S responsibilities; specifically, sort, set in order, shine, sustain, safety
• Pick, process, close and stage or deliver orders to work centers
• Utilize Reach Truck, Fork Truck and WAV mobile equipment safely and effectively to support daily company and department objectives
• Perform scheduled issues of requested components/materials, additional parts, reservations, resupply materials, and consolidate and deliver work order materials
• Miscellaneous tasks assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Some warehousing or related experience preferred
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, reach trucks, WAVs)
• Basic computer skills (email, data entry, inventory systems)
• SAP familiarity a plus
• Astute attention to detail to drive Safety and Quality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
• Comfortable operating heavy equipment
• Flexibility to work any shift needed to support business demands

Qualifications

• Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Capable of performing visual inspections and handling materials responsibly while wearing required PPE
• Regularly lift and/or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
• Safely work at heights, including climbing ladders or accessing elevated platforms, as required
• Stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods in a manufacturing environment

Skills
