Material Handler I

Job Summary

The Material Handler will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, as well as packing, unpacking, staging, retrieving, and stocking material.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle and operate pallet jacks.
• Unpack and receive products for repair.
• Prepare orders and material for shipping.
• Properly pack products and operate automated packing equipment.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work under close supervision and follow directions.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good math and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Efficient time management skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast‑paced, team environment.

Schedule Requirements

• Full‑time, Monday through Friday, during standard working hours.
• Work performed at the office 5 days per week.
• Ability to work flexible hours with the possibility of overtime, based on business partner needs.
• Maintain a 96% (rolling 13‑week) attendance average.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least two years of related experience required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to safely manage weights up to 45 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
• Must wear safety gear (e.g., goggles and gloves) when handling box cutters or similar tools.
