Job Overview
Material Handler I assists in accurately handling inventory according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Materials team works together to receive, pick, pack, and ship product to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to manage inventory, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
- Understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking and reporting inventory.
- Basic problem-solving skills for handling discrepancies in orders or inventory.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
- Perform basic computer functions related to data entry.
- Strong organizational skills for efficient space utilization and inventory management.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely.
- Must be cross-trained and able to support all Material Handler I roles.
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Operation of basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).
- Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
- Ability to follow blueprints.
- Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry).
