Crescent Forklift Operators move materials throughout the warehouse in an effective, efficient, and safe manner, providing necessary logistics services to internal and external customers. Operators follow the Crescent Way—3 P’s: Purpose, Process, People—while upholding the culture of Doing it Right, Doing it Safe, and Doing it Well.
Responsibilities
- Safety
- Read, understand, and follow the Doing it Safe Playbook
- Comply with all safety requirements
- Report and address unsafe acts or behaviors
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse
- Complete forklift and trailer inspection forms accurately and according to procedure
- Operate forklift safely in trailers, warehouses, production floors, and around other workers
- People
- Work as a motivated member of the Crescent team
- Complete individually assigned tasks
- Work well in a high-paced environment
- Collaborate with other Forklift Operators, Line Leads, Shipping and Receiving, and Supervisors to complete tasks on time, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement
- Learn tasks, layout, and customer requirements quickly
- Operate the warehouse management system
- Productivity
- Operate forklift efficiently to maximize productive time
- Communicate with Production to prioritize, pull, and stage inventory accurately according to procedure
- Load and unload trailers efficiently to maintain turnaround times for dock appointments
- Communicate with leads and supervisors to maintain workflow for assigned tasks
- Consistently meet pallets-per-hour productivity standards
- Quality
- Load trucks according to Crescent and customer requirements, considering weight, balance, and load security
- Report safety incidents, quality issues, near misses, accidents, mistakes, and product damages accurately
- Verify and count items accurately during picking, staging, or loading
- Maintain lot code integrity through every product movement process
- Maintain customer or inventory separation when required

- Handle customer-owned product with care to protect their brand
- Work efficiently to ensure on-time delivery for customer requests

- Provide ideas to improve productivity, GMPs, and RSW

Work Environment / Physical Demands
- Fast-paced environment requiring adherence to specific guidelines and instructions to meet productivity goals
- Ability to establish repetitious routines while remaining flexible to business flow
- Frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Possess hand-eye coordination to safely operate industrial equipment

Requirements
- High school diploma and 2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Effective oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Regulatory GMP manufacturing experience
- Lean manufacturing and continual process improvement experience

Pay
$17.50 USD per hour
