About the role

This opportunity is a full-time and benefits-eligible position. Shift Evening Shift: 3:00pm – 11:30pm Monday - Friday Overtime and Weekend required based on business needs.

Major responsibilities

  • Move, stack, load, and unload products and materials effectively and efficiently.
  • Lift, stack and un-stack products and materials.
  • Move raw materials and finished goods to processing or dispatch areas of facility.
  • Make sure goods are stored in the correct area of the plant and/or warehouse so they may be located easily.
  • Load and unload transport vehicles, making sure loads are evenly and securely placed, per bill of lading.
  • Make minor adjustments to the forklift.
  • Complete daily Pre-Op Inspection Sheet.
  • Pull product and stage orders.
  • Follow all guidelines as set forth in the forklift driver’s manual and policy.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors.
  • Work safe and report all unsafe working conditions and/or unsafe acts to supervisor immediately.
  • Knowledge of structural shapes and sites.
  • All other duties as required.

Knowledge

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience with telehandler forklift in a construction environment.

Ability

  • To warehouse machinery safely and efficiently, including forklifts.
  • To be physically capable of performing the job's essential duties and lifting up to 75lbs.
  • To understand written and oral job instructions.
  • To follow all safety standards and policies.
  • To multitask and assist the production team when required.
  • To be able to read measuring tape.
  • To be able to work independently and in teams.

Mental requirements

  • Normal level of visual acuity needed.
  • To be able to understand and follow directions.
  • Normal hearing level needed.
  • Hand-eye coordination required.

Hazards

  • Weather, fumes, moving mechanical parts, high noise levels, equipment, and vibration.
