Material Handler- Denver

About the role

BlueLinx is seeking a Material Handler/Forklift Operator to join their dynamic team at their distribution center. This position offers a competitive wage range of $23.70-$24.70, a Monday-Friday workweek with a consistent schedule, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift in compliance with forklift training and safety guidelines.
• Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars while minimizing damage.
• Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk).
• Prepare the paperwork required for distribution and shipping of products.
• Perform daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in working and assigned area.
• Absorb and execute sales orders, purchase orders, safety material, etc.
• Assist in periodic inventory counts as requested.

Requirements

• One year or recent forklift/warehouse experience.
• Proficient and safe use of forklift to transport products, load/unload trucks.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to work independently at times under pressure.
• Handle physical tasks, such as lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Safe work record and stable work history.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.

• Proficiency in operating forklifts.

• Physical stamina and strength.

Pay

The pay range is $23.70-$24.70, but no less than the local minimum wage. Actual compensation will depend on factors including experience, qualifications, skills, geographic location, and other job-related considerations.
