Material Handler - Day Shift
As a Material Support Specialist, you will ensure production facilities receive, stock, and deliver parts and supplies efficiently. This role involves stocking, pulling, packing, processing, and loading customer orders—both internal and external—while maintaining inventory integrity and supporting the Materials Group’s Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives through Lean tools and continuous improvement activities.
Responsibilities
- Follow approved work instructions and department procedures to move materials, parts, supplies, and equipment using pallet jacks, forklifts, dollies, or other industrial equipment.
- Create, measure, and report data to support SQCD (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery) metrics.
- Perform routine cycle counting of materials to verify accuracy by counting or weighing parts.
- Execute system transactions in AS400/Oracle MRP Systems to maintain inventory integrity.
- Identify, participate in, and implement continuous improvement activities to enhance quality, cost, and delivery initiatives.
- Engage in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Respond to inquiries about inventory and order status.
- Read and interpret shop papers, travelers, blueprints, and other work instruction documents.
Requirements
- Familiarity with materials, tools, and processes in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).
- Direct experience with MRP systems preferred.
- Ability to work in a team environment, demonstrating objectivity, openness to feedback, and commitment to team success.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality improvement.
- Experience meeting productivity standards.
- Prior Materials Management experience preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, and write routine reports and correspondence.
- Willingness to work overtime if required.
- Forklift experience preferred; CDL license a plus.
- Lean manufacturing knowledge and experience preferred.
- Experience reading and interpreting manufacturing blueprints and specifications preferred.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift/move heavy objects for extended periods.

Pay
$16.45 - $21.29 per hour. This position is eligible for bonus participation. Minimum pay rates will comply with county/city minimums if higher than the listed range. Pay is determined by factors including local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, certifications, and foreign language fluency.
Schedule
6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday.
