Material Handler - Day Shift

About the role

The Material Handler moves supplies throughout the plant, ensuring the smooth flow of raw materials to production lines, organizing work areas, and staging finished products as directed by the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Utilize powered industrial trucks to move raw materials to production lines and stage finished products.
• Organize assigned work areas and track/sort inventory while loading trailers for outbound shipment.
• Ensure accuracy of materials and products entering and exiting the production facility.
• Complete required paperwork and relieve in production as assigned and trained.
• Perform all work with a safety-first mentality and apply IPS lean manufacturing skills.
• Handle related tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience, including previous powered industrial truck experience.
• Licensed for Powered Industrial Truck usage under IPG protocols.
• Ability to meet objectives with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills, math skills, and English written communication skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a continuous basis.
• Ability to consistently lift arms and work within full range of arm motion.
