Material Handler - Day Shift
What You'll Be Doing:
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in combos/vats according to predetermined sequence
- Fill requisitions, work orders or requests for materials and distribute to production areas
- Record amount of materials or items received or distributed
- Operate forklift and automation system to move product throughout the manufacturing plant, including moving raw material to production floor and finished goods to packaged storage
- Clean and maintain equipment, tooling and workspace area
- Protect employees and company safety and security through reporting and stopping occurrences such as damage to product and/or property, theft, product tampering and questionable behavior
- Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Preferred Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Prior material handling experience and experience operating powered industrial vehicles
- Constant walking, standing, bending and stooping and bending
- Frequent lifting of items up to 20 pounds
- Ability to work in an environment with cold temperatures and a wet environment
- Strong teamwork mentality and eager to work in a team environment
