Material Handler - Day Shift

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Promote a strong quality culture throughout the company, maintaining Cooper Steel’s core priorities: Safety, Quality, Production
• Read and understand load lists to calculate material size and length when loading
• Operate equipment/machinery and perform other job duties necessary within the shop and yard
• Inspect tools and equipment daily before use and maintain in good working order
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals
• Good judgment; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Able to work effectively with others
• Ability to squat, bend, twist, lift up to 75 lbs., pull, and reach
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions such as heat, humidity, cold, precipitation, etc.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
