Material Handler - C

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment.
• Operate packaging tools (machine and hand).
• Use RF devices for accurate material tracking.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse and forklift/side loader experience.
• High school education or GED desired.
• Good mathematical competencies.
• Attention to accuracy and detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Able to read a tape measure to the sixteenth; experience with micrometers and calipers.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Excellent attendance, punctuality, and dependability.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and health & safety.

Equipment Knowledge

• Experience using computers.
• Experience with cutting and banding equipment is a plus.
• Previous experience operating material handling equipment including crane and forklift; must pass evaluation before working independently.

Physical Demands

• Ability to spend 80% of the day standing.
• Ability to bend, stoop, push, and pull.
• Ability to climb into and out of forklift.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs (22.7 kg) maximum occasionally, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs (11.3 kg).
