Position Summary
The Material Handler & Production Support team members play a vital role in keeping projects on track by delivering and organizing materials, assisting procurement, and supporting production tasks. Roughly 75% of the role focuses on material handling, deliveries, and warehouse organization. The remaining 25% includes helping with glass coating, preparing glass for production, and other hands-on tasks to support the production team. This position requires a mandatory start time of 5:00 AM to meet project and delivery schedules.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver materials and supplies to job sites as needed to keep projects running smoothly.
- Pick up materials from supply houses and vendors, coordinating with procurement to meet project timelines.
- Organize and maintain warehouse and storage areas to promote safety and efficiency.
- Assist with inventory checks, receiving, staging, and preparing materials for upcoming projects.
- Support production (approx. 25% of the role) by helping with glass coating, cleaning, priming, and preparing glass surfaces for processing.
- Perform general warehouse upkeep, cleaning, and small tasks to keep the workspace clean and functional.
- Follow safety protocols when handling materials, equipment, and chemicals.
- Communicate clearly with the procurement and production teams to coordinate priorities and deliveries.
- Organize and maintain storage areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in warehouse, material handling, or production environments preferred.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to assist in different areas as business needs require.
- A basic understanding of workplace safety and material handling practices.
- Bilingual (English, Spanish) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various teams.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move materials (up to 75 lbs) as part of daily tasks.
- Ability to walk, stand, climb ladders, and move throughout warehouse, fabrication, and construction environments for extended periods.
- Comfortable navigating active construction sites, sometimes in varying weather conditions.
Full-Time Role
This is a full-time role based in a warehouse setting, reporting to the production supervisor.
