Material Handler
About the role
We are currently looking for equipment operators to work at the McGuire Nuclear Station, located in Huntersville, NC. This is a local hire position and does not pay Perdiem or any relocation fees.
Qualifications
- Must have the ability to be forklift qualified and maintain qualifications.
- (Various Forklifts, Stand and Reach, Motorize Pallet Jack, Ottawa operation and other moving equipment.)
- Must have the ability to operate the more complex and critical equipment associated with Material Handler Duties
- Complete Basic Rigging as required, (as applicable)
- Maintain RWT Qualifications and all required training
- Be able to lift 50 lbs. (heavy lifting required from time to time.)
- Must have a valid State issued Driver's License
- Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License
- Basic Computer Skills
- Possess good oral and written communication.
- Able to understand and follow oral and communications, technical requirements, procedures and directives associated with working at a nuclear power plant.
- Commitment to personal safety and industrial safety.
- Assertive and self-motivated, with ability to work independently or with minimum over site.
- Meet minimum education requirements, High School Diploma or equivalent...
- Significant material handling experience
- Pass a drug test
- Pass a security background check
- Valid drivers license
Pay
The hourly pay for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $20-30 per hour.
