Material Handler
About the role
Triple Cities Metal Finishing is currently seeking a Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and productivity through a hands-on approach. Specifically, the role is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials and other receivables.
Position Overview
- Operate 26' box truck for local and regional deliveries/pickups
- Operate forklift to safely load and unload materials from trucks and trailers
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and loading docks
- Complete delivery paperwork as needed
- Perform routine maintenance
- Comply with company policies and guidelines
- Update inventory, lists, records, and log all completed tasks
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications
- Licenses: Valid driver license (CDL not required)
- Testing: Pre-employment DOT physical
- Experience: - Previous experience as a box truck driver
- Current forklift license preferred, ability to drive a forklift required
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift heavy objects
Shift
Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
Total Compensation Package
- Wage: $17.50-$20.50/hour
- Compensation depends on the selected candidate's experience.
