Material Handler

Duties And Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the safe operation of equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment that includes general housekeeping and warehouse duties.
• Demonstrate ability to identify all Emergency Stops on all equipment within work areas.
• Assist Machine Operators in feeding repack materials into appropriate machinery.
• Monitor finished goods for mis-labeling and possible mixing of products.
• Move finished products and materials from the Packaging Department and Production work areas utilizing hand trucks, pallets jacks and powered industrial trucks.
• Stack finished goods onto pallets in a pre-defined stacking pattern in designated areas.
• Strap pallets of finished goods and of raw materials in accordance with company safety standards.
• Hand label bottles and packaged goods with appropriate date stamps.
• Utilize various chemicals to clean machinery in department in adherence with safety standards and company standard operating procedures.

Knowledge & Skills Requirements

• Prior work experience in either manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution (or) prior work experience in a fast-paced, process-oriented work setting.
• Completion of a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Ability to frequently reach, twist, stoop, bend, crouch, stand and walk for 8-hour shifts.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs.
• Age 21 or older and able to pass a comprehensive background check in line with Company policy.
