Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Transport raw materials, components, and finished products throughout the facility.
- Supply production lines with materials according to production schedules.
- Remove finished goods and scrap materials from production areas.
- Perform inventory transactions using ERP, warehouse management systems, or handheld scanners.
- Conduct cycle counts and assists with physical inventories.
- Verify material qualities and part numbers against work orders and shipping documents.
- Maintain organized storage locations and follow FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and housekeeping requirements.
- Report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, and safety concerns to supervision.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing activities.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling experience is preferred.
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems is a plus.
- A basic understanding of inventory control processes is required.
- Ability to read work orders, shipping documents, and inventory records is necessary.
- A strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team is important.
- Basic computer and data entry skills are required.
- Good communication and organizational skills are beneficial.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb throughout the workday.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and exposure to dust and machinery.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing and warehouse setting.
- May require overtime, weekend work, or shift work based on production demands.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required in designated areas.
