Duties
- Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling materials from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product.
- Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items.
- Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
- Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
- Completes any necessary production paperwork.
- Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and notifying the proper contact if there are any issues.
- Open containers and sort materials.
- Assist the production lines as needed.
Qualifications
- Skills/Abilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment. Ability to count. Must be able to read operation standards and complete various daily reports, i.e. quality, production. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills. Ability to understand labels and process removing/adding inventory to the warehouse. Ability to read and write English. Experience Hish school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other mobile equipment preferred. Experience working in a Warehouse capacity preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, push, bend and/or squat for 10+ hours in a day. Must be able to lift up to 25-50 Ibs at a time. Regularly perform repetitive tasks in all departments Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work in a manufacturing facility environment.
