About the Role
A Material Handler I performs warehouse functions under the responsibility of the Logistics Supervisor. Duties include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
Responsibilities
- Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
- Operate within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
- Accurately pick, pack, audit, induct totes, stage products, and load/unload trucks.
- Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
- Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One (1) year or more of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
- Valid Forklift Operator's License (certified).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a diverse work environment.
- Highly thorough, dependable, and punctual with a good attendance record.
- Works independently with minimal supervision and demonstrates initiative.
- High level of accuracy, even under pressure.
- Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods and follow health and safety methods.
- Available to work a flexible schedule across various shifts.
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
