Material Handler

About the role

The Material Handler will join a well-established industry that provides a structured pathway for long-term growth in a technically skilled, high-demand field. Responsibilities include receiving, storing, picking, and distributing materials and products within the establishment.

Responsibilities

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Transports materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, or other stock items and distributes items to production areas.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Certified to drive material handling equipment. (High Reach forklift expertise a must)
• Transports stored items within the warehouse.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and/or production experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse role.
• Forklift experience is required.
• Previous experience with WMS system is desired.
• Experience with barcode reading guns and system postings/system records.
• Experience in extrusion or process manufacturing is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.

Pay

Hourly Rate is $19.75 to $22.50 + $1.50/hour for shift premium for 3rd shift.

Schedule

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 10:00 pm – 6:30 am
