Material Handler

About the role

This position is within a production environment and involves keeping workstations fully stocked with materials to control the continuous flow of productivity.

Responsibilities

• Cycle count inventory
• Forklift driving
• Deliver material from the warehouse to the production line
• Ensure material in the warehouse is organized and labeled correctly
• Perform 5S area cleaning
• Customer service to production with open and honest communication
• Remove unnecessary material from the production line
• Maintain ERP system accuracy for material in the warehouse
• Reclassify material from one location to another
• Be proficient at both the mobile and desktop versions of the ERP system
• Troubleshoot material issues
• Understand the different parts and their representation in the finished product
• Maintain inventory accuracy both physically and systematically for raw parts
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Prior forklift experience
• Ability to balance current workload while planning ahead to coordinate future tasks for the team
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
• Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task
• Ability to work independently and as a team to fulfill department goals or objectives

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using the ERP system
• Understanding of different parts and their roles in the finished product

Skills

• Proficiency in both mobile and desktop versions of the ERP system
• Problem-solving skills
