Responsibilities
- Organize, kit, issue, store, deliver, and return raw materials, work-in-process, finished goods, transfers, vendor returns, and nonconforming material throughout the facility.
- Support production schedules by ensuring materials are delivered to designated work centers and staging locations as required.
- Perform material transactions, scanning, labeling, and documentation to maintain inventory accuracy and traceability.
- Maintain proper material identification and ensure inventory is stored in the correct locations.
- Follow FIFO practices.
- Absorb shortages, discrepancies, damaged material, and concerns to the Material Handler Supervisor.
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely.
- Follow the blue/red tag process for material requiring review.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse and staging areas.
- Support other departments and overtime requirements as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse, material handling, receiving, shipping, inventory, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Forklift certification preferred or ability to complete training.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
