Material Handler

About the role

The Material Handler position at Goodwill Manasota involves ensuring the efficient movement of goods in various areas of the store, assisting with the unloading of trucks, providing excellent customer service, and categorizing donations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the efficient movement of goods in the processing area, donor door, and sales floor
• Absorb and unload trucks with general merchandise and donated goods using appropriate equipment
• Provide world-class customer service to all customers and donors
• Categorize donations to maintain an organized workspace

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred
• Experience moving larger, heavier items is preferred
• Prior experience in a retail environment is preferred
• Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, and weekends if seeking full-time work
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation
