Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Physically receives all incoming packages and orders as well as prepares and ships outgoing packages.
• Verifies quantities ordered match quantities shipped on packing slips and note discrepancies, check shipments for damages.
• Operate the forklift and wrapping machine as needed.
• Determines labeling requirements for shipping containers including any special labels required by the customer.
• Prepare documents and record receipts in a timely manner.
• Moves materials from production to finished goods area, and from receiving dock to storage areas.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Forklift Certification: Preferred, forklift experience preferred.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills along with strong ability to multitask.
• Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact with customers and team members.
• Other Skills: Ability to work effectively with peers, management, and other departments.
• Technical Proficiency: Computer literacy.
