Material Handler

Job Summary

CTDI is a large-scale Engineering, Repair, and Logistics company servicing major telecommunications and internet providers. The Material Handler (pick/pack/ship) role involves executing tasks in a warehouse environment, including packaging, unpackaging, putting away, sorting, staging, picking, shipping, and preparing units for production.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Execute foundational tasks within a warehouse environment, including packaging, unpackaging, put away, sorting, staging, picking, shipping, and preparing units for production.
• Cut open boxed inventory in the storage area or on the rack.
• Place open boxes on the appropriate shelf of the flow rack.
• Wrap cords neatly and securely, ensuring they are tangle-free.
• Assist with labeling, tagging, or color-coding wrapped cords as needed for easy identification.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation.
• Follow warehouse safety regulations.
• Complete required paperwork, forms, or digital records accurately and promptly for documentation purposes.
• Complete all other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.

Preferred Skills And Experience

• Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation.
• Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Clerical skills.
• Time-management skills.
• Written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent work experience.

Physical Demands And Working Conditions

• Warehouse environment.
• Stand dynamically for long periods.
• Use hands and fingers to handle and/or feel.
• The ability to type, pick, pinch with fingers, seize, hold, grasp or turn with hands.
• Lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Push and/or pull up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Reach up and out with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to climb stairs or ladders.
