Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Supporting inventories across multiple manufacturing departments, including glass movement and inventory transactions.
- Managing products in-process, including receiving, minor calculations, and preparation/transporting before and after external operations.
- Moving material to different department stock shelves.
- Moving product in-process to different inventory locations.
- Handling the requisition of product to and from third-party processes.
- Including packaging miscellaneous shipping orders.
- Creating shipping orders.
- Retrieving raw material from stock according to engineers' instructions to fulfill work orders.
- Entering technical data into databases and generating lot numbers during retrieval.
- Handling scrapping of products no longer needed.
- Moving products and raw materials between receiving, test, and finished goods inventory (FGI) departments.
- Maintaining the database for Test and Engineering departments.
- Supporting reclassification of finished products.
- Aiding in RMA (Returned Material Analysis), including logging returned products into appropriate databases and delivering them.
- Collecting and sending out product samples for outside vendor chemical analysis.
- Distributing clean room garments.
- Supporting the Receiving and FGI teams with inventory support.
- Setting up and maintaining site-wide Kanban systems.
- Conducting 6S support and area audits.
- Performing weekly cycle counts of inventory.
- Completing associated Oracle and Cumulus transactions for all above items.
Education & Work Experience
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent plus 4 years of directly related work experience in a manufacturing environment, including inventory control, shipping and receiving experience.
- Lean manufacturing, ability to drive a forklift, and/or vocational or technical education are preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and technical manufacturing databases is required.
- Experience with Oracle/Agile (or other MRP/ERP systems) is required.
- A detail-oriented, methodical approach to task completion, with excellent organizational and inventory skills.
- The individual must be conscientious and able to work with minimal supervision, but seek supervisory approval on non-routine tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills are required.
- Possess a high level of organizational skills and be able to work on and prioritize multiple tasks.
- The individual must be team-oriented and work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
