Responsibilities
- Material Preparation & Staging: Deburring, packing, export preparation, receiving, and shipping.
- Order Fulfillment: Pulls material from stock to fill sales orders accurately.
- Verification & Documentation: Verifies materials, packs for shipment, and records necessary information on sales orders.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operates powered industrial equipment (e.g., combilift, side loader, forklift) to move and stage materials.
- Housekeeping: Maintains a clean and organized work area to support efficient operations.
Requirements
- Experience: 1–3 months of related experience or training preferred.
- Equipment Skills: Ability to learn and safely operate powered industrial equipment.
- Measurement Skills: Proficient in reading tape measures, micrometers, and other measuring devices.
- Math Skills: Ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Technical Skills: Willingness to learn and navigate an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and apply logical problem-solving skills.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, and kneel as required throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs.; occasionally lift and move up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception, with or without corrective lenses.
- Work in a warehouse setting with moving equipment, varying temperatures, dust, and noise.
- PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe shoes are required.
