Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is seeking a Material Handler on the A Shift for MCC Staging.

5:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Responsibilities
- Use forklift or power equipment to move and store a variety of materials, parts, or products
- Unload incoming materials from trailers and vehicles
- Transport items from incoming staging area or finished goods staging area to storage area
- Store, stack, and arrange material and maintain related documentation
- Operate overhead crane or hoist in moving material (crane-certified associates only)
- Verify, identify, and quantify items received against purchase orders
- Visually inspect and count incoming parts, materials, and supplies to detect shortages, transit damage, broken packages, and obvious defects
- Complete related documentation
- Move or expedite material to proper department
- Pull material and package for delivery to Service Centers
- Use KanBan system to order and replenish materials
- Visually inspect for damaged material
- Safely and efficiently deliver materials to storeroom or point-of-use (POU) locations
- Notify internal customers of receipts or product marked for their attention
- Maintain working relationships with internal customers
- Receive purchase orders in the system
- Separate AML material from non-AML (Kanban)
- Sort and disperse return material
- Maintain all documentation accordingly
- Unload trucks and verify freight bills
- Verify material against packing lists
- Pull parts from storeroom for Service Center packing as needed
- Ensure packaging meets standards to prevent loss or damage
- Process internal KanBan cards
- Assist in the maintenance of the KanBan system
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with other departments to ensure timely delivery of parts and components meeting quality specifications
- Flexibility to work in other departments as needed to meet customer and Eaton expectations
- Proficiency with programs such as AS400, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Vista
- Ability to use electrical schematics and blueprints to identify parts and components
- Ability to use handheld scanners to track inventory in Shipping & Receiving
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Eaton will not consider applicants requiring immigration sponsorship for this position
- No relocation benefit offered; candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of Fayetteville, NC (Active-Duty Military Service members exempt from geographical limitation)
- Preferred: Experience in material handling in a manufacturing setting
- Preferred: Experience with forklift operation (stand-up or sit-down capacity)
