Material Handler - 3-2-2-3 schedule 7 am - 7 pm
12-month contract position on W2; US Citizens or Green Card holders only. 1st shift, 12-hour days on a 3-2-2-3 schedule (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM).
About the Role
Uses a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products or goods within a plant, office, or warehouse. May maintain records. Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques, and procedures within one skill area, process, or method. Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps. Works within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines. Works under general to limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to transport materials and products.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines.
- Maintain records as required.
- Perform routine tasks with prescribed steps under limited supervision.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Zero to one year of warehouse experience or related experience and/or training.
- Basic skills training in an analytical/scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production).
- Effective communication skills to interact with co-workers and supervisors.
- Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend documents in English and perform basic math calculations.
- Ability to perform in a metrics-driven environment.
- General computer skills.
- Obtain and/or maintain appropriate licenses, training, or certifications as needed.
Skills
- Knowledge of RF Scanner is helpful but not required.

- Regularly required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, balance, climb, lift, crouch, reach, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, twist, and use hands for repetitive motion tasks.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving of objects over 50 lbs.
- Exposure to work near moving mechanical parts, extreme weather conditions, and vibration.
- Occasional exposure to high, precarious places and fumes/airborne particles.
- Work environment is hot in summer (no AC) and cold in winter (limited heating).
- Noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
Pay
$16–$20 per hour.
