Material Handler - 2nd/Weekend Shift

Responsibilities

• Support movement of product throughout the facility using forklifts, jack lifts, high lifts, and powered industrial trucks.
• Meet specific certifications during the qualification period.
• Contribute to a positive work environment, maintain a safe and efficient production line, and ensure products reach families across America.
• Perform tasks requiring continuous/repetitive movement, including grasping, pinching hands, flexing, and extending arms.
• Stand on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 12-hour shift.
• Work around animal blood and/or carcass parts, in cold and warm areas, in wet and humid environments, and in noisy conditions.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as a hard hat, hearing/eye protection, and steel-toed safety shoes.
• Work with sanitation/cleaning chemicals and around strong smells/odors.
• Climb/move on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways, and platforms.
• Bend, stoop, and twist repetitively over the course of an entire shift.
• Walk long distances.
• May require certification to operate various pieces of equipment required for the position.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Willing and able to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring continuous/repetitive movement, including grasping, pinching hands, flexing, and extending arms.
• Ability to stand on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 12-hour shift.
• Ability to work in cold and warm areas, in wet and humid environments, and in noisy conditions.
• Ability to work with sanitation/cleaning chemicals and around strong smells/odors.
• Ability to climb/move on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways, and platforms.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and twist repetitively over the course of an entire shift.
• Ability to walk long distances.
• May require certification to operate various pieces of equipment required for the position.
