About the Role
Movement of materials, parts, and units to various buildings within Stellar, from vendor locations to Stellar, or from Stellar to other off-site locations. Movement and tracking of parts to and from storage areas and assembly areas, recording locations of parts/materials as they are moved with limited direction from Lead Persons and Supervisors. Performing material move transactions in a timely fashion.
Responsibilities
- Work with other employees as part of a team and maintain prompt, daily attendance.
- Collaborate across departments and take direction from area supervision to complete orders efficiently.
- Read work orders and understand technical documents required for the job.
- Operate forklift equipment and learn all aspects of the job as required.
- Use additional machinery to complete advanced material handling tasks.
- Utilize advanced Epicor/computer programs for data gathering and reporting.
- Maintain a productive and non-disruptive work ethic.
- Oversee specific departmental operations.
- Pull parts as needed for production areas and set up production for other personnel.
- Unload, load, check, and receive incoming inventory using various types of machinery.
- Read blueprints and work orders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Prior forklift experience and/or certification.
- Basic manufacturing background and mechanical aptitude.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Exceptional attendance record.
- Ability to climb ladders, sit/stand as needed, and lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Physical Requirements
- Operate a forklift for the majority of the shift, excluding break times.
- Ability to sit for up to 2 hours at a time.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions while moving products.
- Lift and/or push up to 50 lbs, with most lifts from floor to waist (48”).
- Reach and grab parts up to 10 lbs.
- Climb ladders up to 5’.
- Perform functions requiring crouching, squatting, and kneeling.
- Good hand dexterity and balance to operate all necessary equipment.
- Daily use of all five senses to maintain safety for the team and self.
