Material Handler 2

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret piping isometrics and bill of materials.
• Identify and gather specific materials requested in BOM or work package.
• Palletize or securely package material together for distribution to specific jobsite location.
• Use identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment to mark all goods.
• Examine materials received, verify parts numbers, and check for discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts.
• Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.

Job Requirements

• Physical Requirements: Adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting. Talk and hear to communicate. Use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, pull: objects, materials, controls and tools. May be required to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs. Work at slight heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off of platforms using the appropriate fall protection requirements. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, FRC, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and leather work boots.
• Preferred Qualifications: Current Zachry or Zachry ROF’ed employee. Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc. Previous experience in this position with Zachry Industrial, Inc.

• Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Demonstrated industrial maintenance history experience, good reading comprehension, ability to work with others – team player, good communication skills with co-workers and supervisors, commitment to Zachry values and safety rules and regulations, experience using industrial hand tools and power tools but not required.
• Minimum 3 years industrial maintenance experience required. Must have reliable transportation and be flexible to work as needed.

• Inventory Control, Kitting, Material by Job, Material expediting/field delivery, Forklift Trained.
