Material Handler 2 (2nd Shift)

About the role

Perform various warehouse tasks including receiving, picking, staging, and loading materials.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow production work orders
• Scan and stage materials according to work orders
• Load or unload materials on delivery trucks
• Use hand-held scanners to receive, move, identify, and pull correct materials from designated bin locations
• Move damaged or non-conforming items to the appropriate area for reclaim or return to vendor
• Make minor repairs on product if found
• Operate sit-down or stand-up forklifts, swing reach, scissor lifts, or order pickers as required
• Maintain appropriate certifications for powered industrial equipment
• Conduct daily inspections of powered industrial equipment and report maintenance issues to supervisor
• View orders or product in inventory systems to assist with daily tasks
• Inspect product as pulled and/or loaded to meet quality standards
• Afford proper housekeeping and organization on docks and warehouse aisles
• Achieve team efficiencies while maintaining accuracy
• Return undamaged materials to warehouse locations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

One to four years related experience preferred

Experience with powered industrial equipment a plus

Qualifications

Some general computer knowledge helpful
