Material Handler - 1st Shift (SEASONAL)

Reeb Millwork is hiring Seasonal Material Handlers for our Barclay, MD facility. This role is a key part of our Operations team, focusing on shipping, receiving, and stocking warehouse material while maintaining a safe and respectful work environment.

Responsibilities

• Unload common carrier trucks and railroad cars, replenishing product in designated warehouse locations.
• Pick orders using a forklift until the order is completely filled.
• Report issues such as shortages or damaged material to the appropriate team.
• Consult with sales team members when orders cannot be shipped as ordered and make changes as directed.
• Use a handheld scanner for receiving product, picking orders, loading trucks, and cycle counting in accordance with Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes.
• Collaborate with the WMS Coordinator on questions and updates.
• Band, wrap, and prepare material for safe shipping.
• Arrange orders on trucks according to safe weight distribution practices.
• Follow all safety procedures and policies when performing warehouse duties.
• Fill orders for incoming customers.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning warehouses and yard areas.
• Inspect forklifts prior to daily operation to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Cross-train and back up other warehouse team members as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Strong initiative and self-starter mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a cross-functional team environment.
• Working knowledge of techniques for organizing and setting priorities.
• Neat and clean appearance.
• Proven ability to work as a member of a team.

Pay

Hourly pay rate of $18.00.
