About the role
Performs general labor duties and handles or transports material using electric hoists, cranes, hand hoists, walking electric lift trucks, hand trucks, brooms, shovels, and scrap bins. Receives instructions and work assignments from Foreman.
- Loads and unloads material using electric cranes, hand hoists, and overhead crane hooks.
- Uses hand trucks or powered industrial vehicles to transport material to various production departments.
- Performs general labor duties, including sweeping and cleaning the plant or yard.
- Maintains supplies in wash rooms.
- Connects and disconnects powered industrial vehicles to battery chargers and checks vehicle batteries.
Eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities
- Exercise judgment to hook up and operate electric cranes and powered industrial vehicles.
- Move materials with care to ensure no damage is sustained.
- Perform tasks requiring moderate physical exertion to attach slings or hooks to loads.
Schedule
1st shift - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
