About the role
As a Material Handler at Standard Iron, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Here’s what you can expect:
Responsibilities
- Pull parts, hardware, and materials needed for job orders.
- Safely load, unload, and transport materials within the facility.
- Conduct cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records to keep stock levels reliable.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Perform basic upkeep for material handling equipment, helping to maintain its performance and longevity.
- Prepare materials for production or shipping in line with job orders and customer needs.
- Take on additional tasks as assigned to support the team and overall operations.
Requirements
- A positive attitude and work ethic.
- Previous experience in material handling or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- A strong attention to detail with strong organizational skills and accuracy in managing inventory.
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
