Material Handler (12hr. shifts, 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am) + $1.75 Shift differential

Responsibilities

• Use a forklift and clamp truck to manually move freight, stock, or other materials.
• Perform general labor tasks as required.
• Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
• Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
• Sort cargo before loading and unloading.
• Assemble product containers or crates, using hand tools and precut lumber.
• Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.

Requirements

• Ability to operate a forklift and clamp truck.
• Physical ability to lift and carry materials as required.
• Attention to detail for sorting and marking cargo.
• Knowledge of basic workplace safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with forklifts and clamp trucks preferred.
• Good physical condition and manual dexterity.
