Material Handler 1

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Material Handler 1 ensures timely supply and staging of raw product for production. Supports with tote supply to production from designated tote staging area. Ensures all other processes and procedures meet or exceed those standards established by Latitude 36 Foods and its customers.

Required Qualifications

• Must possess previous PIT training with a license/certification active within 3 years, and with 6 months of PIT operator experience.
• Must be able to operate sit-down, stand-up, among other PIT machinery.
• Minimum formal education, HS Diploma preferred.
• Able to follow written and verbal directions.
• Able to work with changing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to successfully complete the Power Industrial Truck Certification Program.
• Ensure “Safety First” is always practiced and observes and adheres to all job safety rules.
• Abide by ALL Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Ensure warehouse is always in SQF Audit readiness.
• Ability to drive the forklifts in a safe manner.
• Ability to support tote supply function, transferring totes from tote staging area to production.
• Performing assigned tasks, as required per SOP guidelines.
• Understanding of allergen and organic warehousing regulations.
• Able to complete all other required documentation per SOP guidelines.
• Complete other assignments as requested by leadership.

Physical Requirement/Environment

• Ability to stand for long periods of time with extensive walking and working in refrigerated coolers (32*).
• Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds or more frequently as needed.

Compensation Details

Pay Rate: $22.00 - $22.50/hr
Additional Compensation: Shift Differential of $0.50/hr while working on 2nd shift.

Schedule

Shift: 2nd Shift
Schedule: 4:00PM-2:30AM (overtime and weekends as required)
May vary, depending on business needs.
