Material Handler 1

About the role

Process customer orders by scanning barcodes, picking and labeling boxes, picking and packing, using RF technology, maintaining work area per SOP, following Good Documentation Practices, completing RF device training, verifying accuracy, building and palletizing orders, re‑palletizing, dock manifest tasks, shrink wrapping, transporting pallets with MHE, and performing additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Scan bar codes, pick and label boxes.
• Pick and pack orders.
• Process orders through RF technology.
• Maintain an acceptable work area per SOP and work instructions.
• Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) per SOP.
• Complete necessary RF device training to obtain required profiles.
• Perform accuracy verification and shipment packaging.
• Build pallets: scan, retrieve, place completed orders on pallets.
• Re‑palletize products for shipment.
• Perform dock manifest duties: scan completed pallets, operate shrink wrapper.
• Transport pallets by walking MHE when required.
• Follow all safety instructions to maintain safe working conditions.
• Adhere to attendance policies.
• Maintain current status in C2C training modules.
• Understand organizational quality goals.
• Assist in maintaining warehouse security; report suspicious activity.
• Report injuries, accidents, unsafe acts, hazards or conditions immediately.
• Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area; follow sanitation and housekeeping guidelines.
• Cross‑train in other warehouse positions; assist as required and act as backup during absences.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED or 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience with Walkie Ryder (motorized pallet jack) preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced distribution environment.
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• May be required to operate MHE and use Voice/RF scanner.
• Ability to perform/operate in a metrics‑driven environment.
• Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills.
• General distribution knowledge.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.
