About the role

This role is based at our new state-of-the-art distribution center in Greencastle, PA. This facility will provide additional distribution capacity for finished goods on the East Coast and help build a seamless supply chain to improve our customer experience.

As a Material Handler, you will help deliver various types of products, from life-saving personal protective equipment to everyday lab essentials. You will provide shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment services for finished goods, inventory, materials, supplies, parts, and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and correctly process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements.
  • Sustain a high level of quality to ensure customers receive accurate product and in the time requested.
  • Receive materials and/or finished goods daily.
  • Verify the quality, type, and number of materials received are accurate and appropriate documentation is present (e.g., packing list).
  • Safely operate distribution equipment, as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • General knowledge of warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate powered industrial trucks and operate the equipment at various heights.
  • Basic computer skills to navigate ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software in order to support the operation in its daily functions.
  • Accuracy is required in performing all functions of this position.
  • Ability to receive and complete general instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new assignments.

Environmental Conditions

  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance.
  • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards.
  • Exposure to cold room/freezers (-22°F/-6°C).
  • Fluctuating temperatures (hot/cold).
  • Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.).
  • Standing for full shift.
  • Warehouse environment.
  • Working at heights.
  • Walk, stand, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs. on a continuous basis.
  • Push and pull up to 50 lbs. and regularly climb ladders.
  • May occasionally sit, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • May handle “packaged” hazardous materials.
  • Work under various temperatures including room temperature (59–86°F), cold-room (36–46°F), and/or freezer-room (-4 to -23°F).
