About the Role
RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking a financial analyst within its Supply Chain finance organization. This role supports the Supply Chain team in material forecasting, risk & opportunity management, and financial reviews. The position offers a dynamic environment with opportunities to work across various management levels and functional organizations, developing and implementing streamlined processes and reporting.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with strong data analysis skills and proficiency in APEX/PRISM (SAP), Business Warehouse (BW), Analysis for Office (AO), and Excel. Proactive behavior, excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills are highly desired.
Responsibilities
- Monthly analysis, research, and reporting to the Supply Chain Vice President and Directors on ad hoc requests
- Support consolidation and streamlining of reporting
- Develop and maintain assigned program material forecasts and review for reasonableness
- Analyze material spend outlook, related risks, and opportunities; identify actionable items
- Facilitate meetings to drive alignment, closure on actions, and understanding of issues
- Support other team members in technical and analytical financial growth
- Identify, support, and implement process improvements
- Provide cost reduction ideas and project support
Requirements
- University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Professional experience in a related finance role
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Preferred Qualifications
- High proficiency with advanced Microsoft Excel functions (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Macros, etc.)
- Experience with SAP (APEX, PRISM, Rplan, and Analysis for Office reporting or similar)
- Experience with Power BI
- Ability to meet critical deadlines and develop solutions/process improvements
- Experience preparing presentation packages for executive-level review
- Strong focus on process improvement and advanced problem-solving skills
- Experience transforming customer requests from data to actionable information
- Ability to lead analysts in a results-oriented environment to solve complex problems
- Energetic self-starter with strong organizational skills
- Prior experience in FP&A concepts, systems, and processes
- Ability to teach advanced financial and planning skills to financial analysts
- Understanding of cost accumulation methods for direct labor (discrete charging and allocation pool charging)
- Experience with APEX (SAP), Business Warehouse (BW), Analysis for Office, and PRISM
- Strong communication skills with peers and leadership
- EAC (Estimate at Completion) development experience

Pay
The salary range for this role is $86,800 – $165,200 USD. The range is a good-faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
